How the Poles influenced the Afrikaners
From the Solidarity Movement to Poland to the Solidarity Movement in South Africa
During a recent visit to Poland, I was interviewed by Jan Palka of the Tertio Millenio Institute about the situation in South Africa, the work of the Afrikaner people and also the extent to which the Solidarity Movement in South Africa was influenced by the Solidarity Movement in Poland. The truth is that even though there isn’t significant overlap in the histories of the Afrikaner people and the Poles, the Afrikaners have been influenced in some very important ways by the history of the Poles. It’s not a coincidence that the Afrikaners are organised today in a network of institutions known as the Solidarity Movement.
We also spoke about the deterioration of South African political life, some of the most important observations that we believe ought to be made with regard to South Africa and what we have in mind for the near future as far as our international activities are concerned.
